February Newsletter!

Greetings NCYM Family,

This is your Youth Ministry Coordinator's monthly opportunity to provide updates on the ministry. These posts are intended to draw your attention to events and to detail our current programming. Some posts might include humor, some might be more business like. Coffee intake for the day may or may not play a role in the content provided :) Either way, I pray this is a successful way for me to connect and communicate with our North Spokane Catholic community.

ALL NCYM Updates:

Laser Tag still has spots open! Register using this link https://forms.gle/BzuBo3MMPXgAZ6Xs9

During Lent, we will have the opportunity (emphasis on opportunity) to clean the current spaces we use for youth ministry. St. Charles Parish and School have been extremely generous in allowing us to take over the campus on Tuesday Nights. More details to come!

Middle School Updates:

Our current series titled, "The Finish Line" is in full swing. We are diving into the sacraments of healing and the series will be culminating in the first week of lent with an opportunity to participate in the sacrament of reconciliation on March 3rd. We have Fr. Michael Blackburn, OFM from St. Francis of Assisi Parish coming to speak on confession Feb. 25th, preparing our 6th-8th graders to make a good confession if they so choose the following week.

An end of the year, overnight retreat is in the works. We look forward to hosting middle school aged students for an encounter with Jesus at St. Charles Parish. Stay tuned for more information!

High School Updates:

We just wrapped up a series titled, "Belong" where students were invited to move from isolation to solitude. We finished the series with a night titled, "Needed" cultivating each student to look beyond their own needs and serve one another in love as Paul said so well his letter to the Galatians.

Speaking of serving each other in love.. There is an opportunity for 5-8 high school students to serve lunch at the House of Charity next Saturday, Feb. 15th. Please reach out to me if you are interested!

Thank you for your time, I pray a blessing over each young person involved in NCYM.

Be sure to check out the new section of our website "Spokane Events" for general events - often for the whole family!

Peace,

JJ
